The indicative budget of the INTERREG EUROPE 2021-2027 interregional cooperation program is over € 474 million.

Its aim is to improve the implementation of investment programs for jobs by promoting the exchange of experience, innovative approaches and good practices among the participants. regional policy. It includes all 27 countries of the European Union, Norway and Switzerland.

Measures under the future INTERREG EUROPE 2021-2027 program are expected to support innovation and research, as well as to enable institutions from certain regions of Europe to integrate successful experiences and policies from other regions into their own programs in areas such as transition to a circular economy, adaptation to climate change, water management, disaster risk prevention and resilience, energy efficiency measures, investing in biodiversity and green infrastructures. Support will also be available in the field of digital connectivity between regions. Other key areas for action are, for example, ensuring sufficient and equal access to healthcare through the development of infrastructure, including primary care and specialized health services. Exchange of experience in culture and tourism is also among the opportunities provided in the program.

Beneficiaries can be national, regional and local authorities; public law organizations regulated by public law (educational institutions, including universities, schools, colleges, etc.), as well as non-profit legal entities.

The Managing Authority, Region de France (France), has launched a public consultation on the draft INTERREG EUROPE Interregional Cooperation Program 2021-2027 (version 4), by completing an online questionnaire.
