The Ministry of Economy, with the assistance of Bulgarian business and trade representatives abroad, has an idea to create a digital export hub to support Bulgarian exports, which are most affected by the epidemiological crisis.

This became clear during a video conference between the Minister of Economy Lachezar Borisov, the representatives of the business in our country and the associates for trade and economic activity.

The Minister of Economy Lachezar Borisov promised this idea to be realized as soon as possible. During the meeting, proposals were made to make the portfolio of companies and the services they offer in English so that they are more accessible to all users worldwide. According to the Minister of Economy, despite the positive levels of domestic consumption and investment in the country, the creation of such a platform is urgent and is due to the decline in Bulgarian exports in the third quarter of 2020, which was most affected by the spread of coronavirus infection around the world.

He reminded that it is in the conditions of crisis that we all need to solidify our efforts and show flexibility and creativity in order to help each sector of our economy to regain its position as quickly as possible.

Minister Borissov expressed hope that the creation of this new platform is a step in the right direction to support Bulgarian exporters.
