Over BGN 250 million, part of the anti-crisis package of the Ministry of Economy, have already reached Bulgarian companies and citizens

Progress on anti-crisis economic measures implemented by the Ministry of Economy to overcome the negative effects of the pandemic on the Bulgarian economy for the period from September 11 to September 25, 2020

To overcome the negative effect of the introduction of the state of emergency in the country and the subsequent economic consequences of the crisis, the Ministry of Economy (MI) initiated a package of measures and actions to support Bulgarian business. In fulfilment of the undertaken commitment to accelerate the process of providing support for business, with full transparency of the procedures, for the period from September 11 to September 25, 2020 in the system of MI the following actions were taken:

Operational Program “Innovation and Competitiveness” 2014-2020

1. Under the procedure for “Support to micro and small enterprises to overcome the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic” (BG16RFOP002-2.073), progress is as follows:

As of September 25, 2020:

A total of 14,801 administrative contracts have been concluded so far under the procedure;
The total funds paid so far under the procedure amount to BGN 122,154,911.37 to 14,796 companies
Only for the last two weeks new BGN 25 million have been paid.

Approved for funding are 15,459 project proposals submitted within a total of nineteen evaluation sessions, for which the value of the provided grant amounts to BGN 127.6 million;

2. Regarding the procedure for “Support for medium-sized enterprises to overcome the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic” (BG16RFOP002-2.077), an evaluation commission has been formed, which has started the process of evaluation of the submitted total of 1,932 units, worth BGN 263,688,340.21.
